Ryan moved back to BC from Calgary to join Johnsen Archer in November 2009 as a Senior Manager. He brings with him several years of "Big 4" public practice experience where he achieved his CA designation, including earning a place on the National Honour Roll for the Uniform Final Evaluation. In that time he has focused on private companies and not-for-profit organizations in a number of different industries, including oil and gas, real estate, construction, manufacturing, agriculture, professional services and retail.

Ryan has spent the past several years providing both in-house and external accounting and assurance training services, along with UFE-prep courses, for his firm and for the CA School of Business and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta. Recently, Ryan also joined the Sauder School of Business faculty at UBC as a part-time sessional instructor for the DAP program.

Outside of life at the office, Ryan is an avid car fanatic and enjoys spending time with his wife, playing golf, skiing, woodworking projects and volunteering with Scouts Canada.
